Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She is employed by ESPN and works as an SportsCenter News Anchor. The first time she worked at ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of the TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins was bi-lingual since nine years old a useful skill that helped her secure her first position working as an assistant to the producer for Univision in Miami and gave her the chance to work with the producers of national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Then she was promoted to an reporter at The CBS St. Petersburg affiliate following that. She moved in 2009 to Rio Grande Valley, Texas to work as an anchor for the newscast of the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. In 2009 she made the move into Rio Grande Valley, Texas in which she was a journalist for KNVO 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. Anchor duties on sports and weather was regularly asked for. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallas' affiliate, where she is more responsible. She wrote to sports like the NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason games, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. Also, she produced Univision 23's local sports channel Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she served as anchor. The show was made a sports anchor on Despierta America Deportes' morning show. As a sports anchor, she worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) as well as Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports program). Antonietta Collins was a native of the city of Veracruz, Mexico. She was born November 22 on the 22nd of October, 1985 in Mexico City. She is younger than her sister. In 1992, the family left Mexico to the US and eventually settled in Miami. Within a brief time her father divorced from her mother. She then remarried in 1995 a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away from kidney cancer in 2006. She stayed at Canton Ohio with her older sister over the summer and was given the opportunity of a job. Antonietta was a senior in high school having a clear idea of where she would like her life to be, visited Mount Union University in order to find out if the school suited her. It turned out that she was a fan of the university and that they had the major she was looking for. Following the completion of her high school education, she attended the university to study media studies. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM, and was part of her class, formed a lasting relationship with the student. Mark Bergmann inspired her to believe in herself and his passion in journalism was a huge influence on her. She, was determined to fulfill the expectations of him and not fail him.
